CMS students hear Vermont authors Jon and Pamela Voelkel talk about their writings about Central America and Mayan Culture. Jon and Pamela Voelkel are two Vermont Authors who have published the first in a trilogy of novels about Central America and Mayan culture.
Middleworld deals with Max who goes on a dangerous journey to try to find his parents who have mysteriously disappeared while on an archeological dig in Central America.
The Voelkels gave a very lively and entertaining presentation about Mayan culture, including a life-sized reproduction of a Mayan ruler’s costume, and read a section from their book to all CMS 6th graders.
